Our Why

We Are The Giggling Gwen Foundation

The Giggling Gwen Foundation supports arts programs in Arizona for young children – to support programs that Gwen would have loved. Imagination, creativity and wonder were Gwen’s trademarks, and are the gifts Giggling Gwen strives to give other children in her name.

Cupcakes & Cabernet celebrates Gwen’s joyful spirit and passion for cake. We hope our guests take home a bit of playful spirit and giggles with them in honor of Gwen. This event brings Gwen’s memory alive to those who knew her and many who did not, but who love her story and the causes her Foundation supports. We hope you are able to join us and giggle with Gwen!

Giggling With Gwen

In June 2010, the world lost a beautiful little girl, Gwen Van Kirk. The Giggling Gwen Foundation carries on Gwen‘s joyful spirit. Giggling Gwen is dedicated to bringing joy, imagination – and giggles – into the lives of young children. It is a tribute to a little girl who loved, lived, and laughed.

Through the generous support of many, since its founding in 2012 the Giggling Gwen Foundation has raised over $130,000 to support quality arts programming for young children. The Foundation has underwritten tickets and transportation to live dramatic performances for Title 1 school children, provided scholarships to arts academies, underwritten touring program visits to schools, helped train preschool teachers on techniques to bring the arts into their classrooms, and funded visual arts programs at public libraries,
